Exclusive: "He Never Increased His Fee Even After Any Blockbuster" - Subhash Ghai on Dharmendra_我的网站

一 |     Filmmaker Subhash Ghai remembered the legendary actor Dharmendra with deep affection and admiration. When the director went to the late actor with the script of Krodhi, he not only said yes to it but also came on board as a producer. Ghai reflected on their bond and shared personal memories that highlighted Dharmendra’s discipline, warmth and humility.          He told Filmfare, "I learnt from him that daily physical exercise and living with laughter are essential. During the shoot of Krodhi, he had a fever, but after seeing a tough scene ahead, he asked me to give him one hour. He started exercising on set and then shot till late evening."     Ghai also recalled how Dharmendra never hikes his fee even after delivering blockbusters. He continued, "I remember when I narrated the script of Krodhi to him for the first time at his house. He instantly said that not only would he act in it, but he would also produce it under his banner. I was speechless. He never went after money, only after a good role. He never increased his fee even after any blockbuster film. His last rites took place in the Pawan Hans crematorium yesterday. Several noted celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and others came to pay their last tributes to his mortal remains.     Dharmendra is survived by his wife, actress Hema Malini, his first wife Prakash Kaur, and his children, including actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.           Also Read: Moushumi Chatterjee: Dharmendra had a childlike soul, his smile was divine - Exclusive。

二 |     Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, is set for release in theaters tomorrow. While the film has been amongst the talks, some individuals have expressed concerns about the level of violence shown. Also, there has been a lot of negative sentiment surrounding the film before its release. In response to this, Aditya Dhar's wife, actress Yami Gautam, has publicly addressed the ongoing trend of paid PR.           On her Instagram, Yami wrote a detailed note describing the paid PR trend as "a plague that will affect the future." She started with, “There is something I’ve been wanting to express for a really long time. I feel today is that day, & I must. This so-called trend of giving money, in the disguise of marketing a film, to ensure good ‘hype’ for a film is created, or else ‘they’ will continuously write negative things (even before the film is released), until you pay ‘them’ money, feels nothing but kind of extortion. Just because this arrangement is accessible to anyone, whether to ‘hype’ a film or spread negativity against another actor/a film, is a plague that is going to affect the future of our industry in a big way.”                                                                 View this post on Instagram          A post shared by Yami Gautam Dhar (@yamigautam)               She further added, “Unfortunately, if anyone feels it’s harmless & let’s do it because it’s the new ‘normal,’ they are mistaken. This monster of a ‘trend’ is eventually going to bite everyone. If the truth is exposed about a million things under the garb of who & what ‘success’ is over the past 5 years especially, unfortunately, it’s not going to be a pretty picture for many. In South, no one can dare do such things because the industry stands united on a lot of fronts.
